Communication Arts Mission Statement

The Communication Arts department helps students gain tools for life-long learning and for developing more meaningful and effective voices in the ongoing conversation of our communities and our culture.

We seek to accomplish our mission through an active program of communication study, practice, and research.

Scholarship Opportunity for Communication Students

The $1,000 Gus Swanson Communications Scholarship is available to qualified students who are majoring in a communications-related program, including:

• Advertising
• Marketing
• Mass Communications (Print or Broadcast)
• Communication Studies
• Public Relations
• Journalism
• Graphic Design/Desktop Publishing
