General Admissions Information

Chadron State College is committed to the policy that all persons have equal opportunity and access to programs without discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, marital status, gender, age, religion, or disability. All students seeking admission for enrollment must complete the Application for Admission and submit all related documents before final acceptance can be granted. All materials become the property of Chadron State College and are not returned. Admission may be revoked if granted on the basis of false information willfully submitted, or if the disclosure of facts required in the application process are intentionally concealed or omitted.

Chadron State College shall admit as students those persons who have graduated from an accredited high school or who present evidence of the achievement of a High School Equivalency Certificate based on the General Educational Development examination.

Undergraduate Requirements

Freshmen Students

Chadron State College is a college with open admission. No minimum GPA, ACT/SAT or class rank is required for entering freshmen. All freshmen, with proof of graduation from an accredited high school, are automatically accepted.

Undergraduate Students, First Time On-Campus

To apply for admission at Chadron State College, please follow these steps:

  • Complete and submit an online Admissions Application on the Application page.
  • Complete the American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and request that the official results be sent to Chadron State College. Our ACT college code is 2466. Our SAT college code is 6466.
    • If the student graduated from high school or earned a GED within the past five years, the ACT is required. If the student graduated from high school or earned a GED over six years ago, an eCompass test is required.
  • Request that a final, official high school transcript with your graduation date, final GPA and final class rank be sent directly from your high school to the Chadron State College Admissions Office.
    • If applicable, Home School transcripts or official GED certification should be submitted. Nebraska GED scores can be ordered by calling 402-471-2475 or ordered online at: www.education.ne.gov/. Out-of-state GED scores can be ordered by contacting the Department of Education for the state in which the test was taken.

If you have taken college courses a final, official transcript must be sent to the CSC Admissions Office.

Matriculation Fee Information
Every student who enrolls for the first time at Chadron State College shall pay a one-time, $15 matriculation fee. The fee is used to establish a student’s record and is non-refundable except in cases where the student is denied admission to CSC.

Returning to CSC (Re-Admit Undergraduate Students ONLY)

To apply for admissions at Chadron State College, please follow these steps:

  • Complete and submit application online.
  • Submit official college transcripts from each college attended following your enrollment at Chadron State College.
