A College of Sustainability
Chadron State College is dedicated to continuing and expanding environmental sustainability efforts to help reduce trash in landfills and educate students, staff, and visiting public on the importance of recycling.
The College does so by providing recycling bins throughout campus for cardboard, cans, bottles, and paper waste to be picked up by Keep Chadron Beautiful, a local non-profit dedicated to the education and stewardship of sustainability.
The College also collects recyclable metal products and goods through the custodial, maintenance and surplus property departments to be disposed of properly.
