Lifeline is an FCC benefit to help make sure people can afford the broadband they need for school, work, healthcare, and more. This benefit provides discounts toward internet services and a one-time discount to purchase a laptop or desktop computer from participating providers, for qualifying households.

Eligibility

If you, or your child or dependent participated in programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, certain other programs, or earn a certain income, you qualify for Lifeline. Learn more about how to qualify.

Standard Benefit: 

  • If you qualify you can receive a monthly discount of up to $9.25 on phone, internet, or bundled service. 

Enhanced Tribal Benefit: 

  • If you live on qualifying Tribal lands, you can get a monthly discount of up to $34.25 on phone, internet, or bundled service. 

 

Discounts

Students can receive discounts at Dell and Apple to purchase computers, laptops, and accessories.
