Community and Adventure Recreation

An undergraduate degree in Community and Adventure Recreation prepares students to plan, lead, and manage recreation programs that promote physical activity, personal growth, community engagement, and well-being. Students develop skills in recreation programming, leadership, outdoor and adventure activities, facility and event management, risk management, and participant development. Coursework and practical experiences emphasize leadership, communication, program planning, problem-solving, and risk assessment. Graduates are prepared for careers in community recreation, outdoor and adventure programs, parks and recreation, camps, resorts, youth programs, and other recreational settings.
