Bachelor of Science in 7-12 Health Education
A Bachelor of Science in 7-12 Health Education prepares students to become effective health educators who promote healthy lifestyles and well-being among middle and high school students. Students develop knowledge in health education, health promotion, human development, nutrition, mental and emotional health, physical activity, substance use prevention, and disease prevention. Students learn to design, implement, and assess developmentally appropriate health education programs. Coursework and practical experiences develop skills in lesson planning, instructional strategies, classroom management, assessment, and communication. Graduates are prepared to teach health education in grades 7-12 and promote student wellness.
