7-12 Physical Education Subject Endorsement

A Bachelor of Science in 7-12 Physical Education prepares students to become effective physical education teachers who promote physical activity, fitness, health, and lifelong wellness among adolescents. Students develop knowledge and skills in physical education pedagogy, exercise science, human anatomy and physiology, motor development, fitness assessment, sport skills, and instructional methods. Coursework and practical experiences prepare students to design and deliver developmentally appropriate physical education programs, assess student learning, manage classes, and create inclusive learning environments. Graduates are prepared to teach physical education in grades 7-12 and promote lifelong physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
