LINCOLN, Neb. – On Friday, June 16, the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees approved tuition increases for 2017-2018. Tuition will increase $12 per credit hour, bringing undergraduate resident rates to $172 per credit hour at each college. With this increase, Chadron State, Peru State, and Wayne State remain the most affordable 4-year institutions in the state.

CHADRON – Four Chadron State College cowboys will be competing at the College National Finals Rodeo in the Events Center at Casper this coming week. The action will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday and continue through Saturday night, when the winners of the nine events are crowned.

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Legislature confirmed the reappointment of Carter “Cap” Peterson of Wayne and Gary Bieganski of Chadron to the Nebraska State College System (NSCS) Board of Trustees. Their six-year terms will run through January 1, 2023.

CHADRON – Chadron State College’s Upward Bound, a federal government program that assists area high school students with college preparation, has received funding for another five years. CSC hosted the first Upward Bound program in Nebraska from 1966 to 1974. After a lapse, it was renewed in 2007.
