Investiture ceremony set for President Kupper

Kupper was appointed President of Chadron State College in October 2025 after serving as Interim President since June.

Among the stage party will be Nebraska State College System Chancellor Paul Turman, NSCS Board of Trustees Chair Marjean Terrell, Chadron State Foundation Board Chair Jenni Barp, and Chadron Mayor George Klein. 

Others include University of Nebraska Lincoln Professor Emeritus Aleidine Moeller, Chadron State's Faculty Senate representative Dr. Mathew Brust, Staff Senate representative Pat Mracek, Student Trustee Daniella Akwanamnye, and Student Senate President Cody Kahl. 

Black Hills State University President Steve Elliott, a long-time friend and former colleague of Kupper’s, will deliver the keynote address.

The CSC Band, under the direction of Dr. Eric Brewer, and the combined Chadron State Concert Choir and Chadron Community Chorus, under the direction of Dr. Joel Schreuder, will perform.

Prior to joining CSC, Kupper served as the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for the Nebraska State Colleges and has 28 years of experience in higher education, including seven years as a faculty member and 11 years of leadership experience at the Nebraska State College System Office. 

Those wanting to commemorate Kupper's inauguration may donate to Chadron State College's Vision 2030 Fund, which will support strategic initiatives aligned to the four priorities established in the 2030 Chadron State College Strategic Plan.  The priorities focus on student access, experience, and success; academic excellence and workforce readiness; organizational culture and institutional vitality; and regional leadership and impact.
