Meal plans may be increased at any time during a semester at a pro-rated rate. Meal plans may only be reduced or cancelled during the first two weeks of a semester. If eligible to cancel, the pro-rated value of remaining meals will be refunded. Remaining meals expire following the completion of an academic semester. Students who un-enroll from Chadron State College during the final four weeks of the semester are not eligible for refund.

Eagle Bucks are non-refundable. Unused Eagle Bucks may transfer from the fall to spring semester contingent upon the continuation of any meal plan. Eagle Bucks do not transfer from the spring to fall semester. Additional Eagle Bucks may be purchased by contacting the Business Office. 

Refund Schedule and Cancellation Fee

A Residence Hall Contract, reservation, or paid application may be cancelled via email and must be sent to cschousing@csc.edu. Cancellation forms are also available in the Housing Office. A $300.00 late cancellation fee is assessed for cancelling a paid application, reservation, or Residence Hall Contract after the deadline of June 1 for Fall Semester students. A $300.00 late cancellation fee is assessed for cancelling a paid application, reservation, or Residence Hall Contract after the deadline of December 1 for incoming Spring Semester resident students. If a written cancellation is mailed, it must be postmarked prior to June 1 for Fall semester and December 1 for Spring semester. Once classes begin, refunds will be calculated according to the following schedule:

  • Fall Week One: 100% refund of Fall Semester room charges and $300.00 cancellation fee. Prorated refund of unused Fall Semester meals excluding Eagle Bucks.
  • Fall Week Two: Prorated refund of unused Fall Semester meals excluding Eagle Bucks. No refund of Fall Semester room charges. $300.00 cancellation fee per contracted semester.
  • No meal plan refund for a contract cancellation initiated during the final four weeks of a semester.
  • Spring Week One: 100% refund of Spring Semester room charges and $300.00 cancellation fee. Prorated refund of unused Spring Semester meals excluding Eagle Bucks.
  • Spring Week Two: Prorated refund of unused Spring Semester meals excluding Eagle Bucks. No refund of Spring Semester room charges. $300.00 cancellation fee.
  • No meal plan refund for a contract cancellation initiated during the final four weeks of a semester.
