Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chadron State College students are dealing with unprecedented changes in higher education while maintaining their educational goals. Chadron State is sensitive to how this situation is affecting you and your family, and we are humbled by the generosity of those who have stepped forward to ask: “How can we help?” For those who are able and interested to provide support to our students, CSC and the Foundation have identified avenues to make an impact.
Thanks to the leadership of the Chadron State Foundation Board of Directors, $50,000 has been committed to create a matching fund: the Eagles Rise Student Relief Fund. Once funded, this matching gift opportunity will create $100,000 to offset hardships faced by students. The college has been working hard to manage the situation by keeping the education of our students at the front of all it does. The Foundation has heard from current students in the past weeks that they face immense financial pressure from hardships associated with food insecurity, loss of income, housing, and other uncertainties. These hardships are causing difficulties this semester and many have told us that without additional support they will not be able to continue in the fall or enroll as new freshmen.
Your gift can help financial needs of Chadron State students affected by this worldwide health crisis. Thank you for supporting the Life of CSC.
