Our mission is to support first-year students' experience and transition to CSC using peer mentors (Eagle Mentors) to assist in social development and engage with campus activities.
Eagle Mentors are CSC students who are at least a sophomore and desire to make a positive impact on first-year students. Eagle Mentors are from a variety of majors, interests, and backgrounds, and support students by referring them to campus and community resources.
The CSC Eagle Mentor program is one semester. Every first-year student is matched with a Eagle Mentor according to their major, hometown, and interests via the matching form. The Mentor Meet Up during Move-In gives the mentees and their parents an opportunity to meet their Eagle Mentor, exchange information, meet the other mentees in their group, and set expectations for the program. Eagle Mentors meet with their mentees to assist and encourage students by planning group or one-on-one meetings throughout the semester.
The Eagle Mentor program is not required for students, but highly recommended. Mentees can opt out of the program at any time.
Fill out the mentee matching form—help us match you the best we can!
Students who want to be an Eagle Mentor must have a desire to make a positive impact in their mentees college experience. Hiring starts in February and all applications are due the second week of March. Hiring will be completed in April.
