CSC Admissions’ Mission Statement
The Chadron State College Admissions Office staff identifies and recruits prospective students who wish to enroll at a four-year, public institution. We support the president’s vision for enrollment by actively, positively and accurately communicating to prospects the numerous benefits of attending CSC.

Undergraduate Requirements

Freshmen and Transfer Students

Chadron State College is an Open Admissions College. No minimum GPA, ACT/SAT or class rank is required for entering freshmen. All freshmen, with proof of graduation from an accredited high school, are automatically accepted. Transfer students in good academic standing are accepted.

Undergraduate Students, First Time On-Campus

To apply for admission at Chadron State College, please follow these steps:

  • Complete and submit an online Admissions Application. You can go to the Application page to do this.
  • Complete the American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and request that the official results be sent to Chadron State College. Our ACT college code is 2466. Our SAT college code is 6466.
  • Request that a final, official high school transcript with your graduation date, final GPA and final class rank be sent directly from your high school to the Chadron State College Admissions Office. If applicable, Home School transcripts or official GED certification should be submitted. Nebraska GED scores can be ordered by calling 402-471-2475 or ordered online at: www.education.ne.gov/. Out-of-state GED scores can be ordered by contacting the Department of Education for the state in which the test was taken. If the student graduated from high school or earned a GED within the past five years, the ACT is required. If the student graduated from high school or earned a GED over six years ago, an eCompass test is required.
  • NOTE: If you have taken college courses, request a final, official transcript be sent to the CSC Admissions office.

Recommended College Preparatory Program

  • 4 units of English
  • 3 units of Mathematics including courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, Trigonomety or Calculus
  • 3 units of Social Studies including one unit of American History and one unit of Global Studies
  • 2 units of Laboratory Science
  • Other academic courses selected from areas such as Foreign Language, Visual or Performing Arts and Computer Literacy

Exception to Regular Admission

All degree-seeking freshman applicants must submit proof of "Ability to Benefit" as established by the U.S. Department of Education.

Any request for an exception to regular admission needs to be addressed to the Director of Admissions for consideration.
