Art Scholarships

Each year the Art Department awards a number of scholarships to students who plan to major in Art. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of artistic and creative ability rather than high school standing, ACT or financial need.

To apply for an Art scholarship, please:

1. Print out and complete the application form below (or download the PDF).
2. Arrange to have a letter of recommendation sent by your art instructor, or if no art teacher then your high school counselor attesting to your interest and ability in art.
3. Submit at least 15 images of your work by 35mm slides, CD (jpeg format) or color prints by mail or e-mail (jpeg format), showing original artwork in a wide range of materials.
4. Please send the dates and times you would be available to tour the department to the CSC Admissions Office or email inquire@csc.edu.

Scholarship applications must be received by March 1 or as soon as possible to be considered for the following year.

To accept a scholarship, the student must sign a form (supplied by the College) agreeing to attend Chadron State College and major in Art.

The applicants for scholarships are increasing in number each year so we recommend that your application be submitted as early as possible
