Student Services

Welcome to Student Services

Students returning to Chadron State College this fall will notice a number of changes in the Student Services area. We've reorganized how this part of your college life works in an effort to serve you more efficiently. While the Registrar, Financial Aid and other offices haven't gone away, we have provided an easier way to connect with those offices and help you get things done with less hassle.

Where to Go

View the Crites Hall map for easy access to Student Services offices.

View the Crites Hall directory for phone numbers and office locations.

Crites Hall is your one-stop shop for Student Services. You can begin in the main lobby of Crites Hall at the START Office, which is equipped to help you with a number of tasks, including:

  • Advisor Changes
  • Class Schedules
  • Credit Evaluation Requests
  • Enrollment Verification
  • Financial Aid
  • Major/Minor Changes
  • Name Changes
  • Scholarship Information

About the Student Services Reorganization

Dear Campus Community,

Returning students, faculty and staff will notice numerous changes to Enrollment Management and Student Services upon return this fall. The functions, services, and personnel of this unit have been reorganized into cross-functional teams. While most of the offices you are familiar with still exist, many of the functions they provide have been organized into one of the following teams:

  1. Recruitment Team
  2. Student Services
  3. Retention Team
  4. Records Team

You will find information about the office locations and various functions provided by each through the documents located on this website.

Of particular note is that many of the services provided to students, faculty and staff through the Registrar’s Office will now be provided by the START Office within the Student Services Team. This team is located in Crites Hall in the space formerly occupied by the Registrar’s Office. The Registrar’s Office has been moved to the second floor of Crites Hall in rooms 218 – 221.

Services provided by the START Office include:

  • Build schedules for all in-bound students
  • Transfer credit evaluations/review academic requirements
  • Self Service module education for students
  • Reset Passwords
  • Drop/Add courses
  • Major changes
  • Develop plans of study
  • Matriculate/term activate
  • FAQ’s on Business Office, Housing, Financial Aid, Tutoring, etc.
  • Change bio/demo data
  • Assist with Fin. Aid issues
  • Eagle Mail
  • Academic Requirements

The objective of these changes is to:

  • Increase enrollment and retention by providing efficient, effective, and coordinated services.
  • Provide more efficient access to services to students, faculty and staff by having more services located in one office.
  • Create a true one-stop shop for student services with person-to-person contact or through the student self-service dashboard in MyCSC.
  • Focus resources of the Registrar’s Office on the maintenance and operation of the Academic Advising (Degree Audit) component of NeSIS and the Academic tables of the NeSIS student information system.
  • Create and support an environment of continuous improvement throughout Enrollment Management and Student Services.

Lastly, you will notice that the phones for Enrollment Management and Student Services are being handled differently than past practice.  Many telephone numbers have been changed to facilitate the operation of the Student Services Call Center. The Student Services Call Center is now responsible for responding to frequently ask questions and helping students understand how to find information in the self service portion of their MyCSC account.  Updated phone lists are located on this website and should be updated soon on the CSC Campus Telephone Directory.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we evolve with this new model for Enrollment Management and Student Services.  If you have any questions or encounter issues, please do not hesitate to contact me.

All the best and have a great semester,

Dr. Randy Rhine,
Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Services
