Special Circumstance Request Form

Special Circumstances are circumstances that have impacted the family’s ability to pay for college and are not accurately reflected on the FAFSA. Some examples of Special Circumstances are:
  • Abandoned by parents
  • Unusually high medical expenses
  • Loss of employment or income
  • Received lump sum income – one time
  • Loss of parent
  • Parent’s divorce
Please write a detailed explanation of your special circumstances and submit for our review. Please note we must have your FAFSA results before we can review. AND, if your FAFSA was selected for verification, you must complete the verification requirements before your special circumstances can be reviewed.

After receiving your request you may be required to submit supporting documentation. We will notify you of such request.

You will be notified within 7-10 business days the result of our review. Please note our decision is final and cannot be appealed to the U.S. Department of Education.
