Claude Barr Memorial Collection – includes the personal herbarium of Claude A. Barr as well as his personal correspondence and effects, particularly those materials that went into publication of “Jewels of the Plains”, the publication of which was assisted by Dr. Weedon.
The George Morgan Memorial Collection – includes the personal professional library and papers of Dr. Morgan, a former CSC professor and scholar of ethnobotany. The collection was expanded by Dr. Weedon to include additional volumes on economic botany, medicinal plants, and serves as an informal archive of the Native American Church.
Pharmacognosy Collection – A collection of over 10,000 historical pharmaceuticals and medicinal plant materials was acquired including the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha pharmacy teaching collection and historic material from local pharmacies, including the former Warren Pharmacy in Crawford. Among the collections are several prescriptions signed by Dr. Walter Reed while stationed at Fort Robinson in the 1890s.
Art Collections – The herbarium contains paintings, drawings and illustrations from several local artists, in particular some of the works of Nathan Blindman and botanical illustrator Bellamy Parks Jansen, both CSC alums.
