All regular types of financial aid are available to any student in the health professions. Please contact the Financial Aid Office and the Admissions Office for more information at 1-800-242-3766.
Students from Nebraska with ACT scores of 25 or above are strongly encouraged to apply for a Board of Trustees Scholarship. This scholarship covers up to 16 hours of tuition per semester. Applications are available from your counselor or the Admissions Office at CSC.
Special Health Professions Scholarships are listed below. Application forms are available from the Health Professions Office. Amounts are subject to change.
The application deadline for most scholarships is May 1st.
A scholarship will be provided for a student who has demonstrated the ability and an interest in the field of medicine. An application may be obtained by contacting the Dean of the School of Mathematics and Science.
A scholarship will be awarded to a student from rural Nebraska who shows academic promise and has been selected to enroll in the Rural Health Opportunities Program at Chadron State College. Contact the Director of Health Professions for details.
An annual scholarship will be provided for a first-time student from rural (western) Nebraska who has demonstrate academic promise. Contact the Dean of the School of Mathematics and Science for an application.
A number of scholarships are provided for incoming students. Preference will be given to students majoring in Pre-Medicine. Should the number of applicants in the above field not be available, then applicants in other science and/or teaching fields may be considered. Students may request information and applications by contacting the Dean of the School of Mathematics and Science.
An award shall be provided for a student majoring in a health professions related field. Recipients may be of any college level and must have a G.P.A. of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Selection shall be made by the chair of the Science department faculty. Information may be obtained from the Dean of School of Mathematics and Science.
An award shall be provided for a student enrolled in the Allied Health Field. First preference shall be given to a student enrolled in the Pre-Dentistry program. This scholarship is renewable if a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 3.0 has been achieved. Application letters requesting renewal must be submitted to the Financial Aid office no later than January 15.
An annual scholarship is provided by the David family and the Richard David memorial scholarship fund for a junior or senior student planning to pursue a career in Optometry. Selection is based on scholastic ability.
A scholarship is provided for a student majoring in Math or Science. The recipient must have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
A scholarship is provided for a student from the panhandle of Nebraska, eastern Wyoming, or southwest South Dakota majoring in the Pre-Veterinary program. The award will be based on scholastic ability and financial need.
A scholarship will be provided for a student majoring in Pre-Medicine or the Allied Health Professions. The selection is based on scholarship.
