Health Professions Day

“Enter to Learn.....Leave to Serve”

Watch the Health Professions Calendar on our home page for dates!!

Each year Chadron State College hosts an informational health career day for anyone interested in learning how to become a health care provider. Faculty and staff from UNMC as well as local health care professionals will present sessions on several different health care occupations. These sessions will cover the responsibilities and opportunities of the occupations as well as the curriculum required to obtain a degree for each health care profession.

Students watching a presentationParticipants are given the opportunity to attend three different sessions during the day to ask questions and gain knowledge about specific health professions. Our hope is to provide students with sufficient knowledge to make wise decisions about the career they intend to pursue in the health care field.
A special program of interest which is discussed at Health Professions Day is the: Rural Health Opportunities Program (RHOP).

The day will be of interest to those who have not selected a career and those already committed to a specific health profession. High school students, their parents, counselors, and teachers as well as people looking for a career change who want to obtain information on different health care professions are encouraged to attend.

Students GatheringOne of the highlights is a student panel consisting of current CSC students pursing various health professions. They will make a few comments and then answer questions from the audience.
