Sponsors Reception Room
All high school sponsors and bus drivers are invited for coffee and rolls in the Student Center from 8 a.m. to noon.
Student Center
The Student Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. It is a place for students and their sponsors to relax.
Guides
Members of the Chadron State College Blue Key National Honor Society will serve as guides in the various building.
Lunch
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Center cafeteria. Please complete and fax the reservation form with an approximate head count to the CSC Conferencing Office at 308-432-7784. PLEASE NOTE: We will no longer be collecting your meal money in advance. There will be a sign-up sheet for students and sponsors as they go through the cafeteria line. An invoice will be sent to you the week after the contest. The Eagle’s Grille will also be open for lunch - cash sales only!
Lunch prices in the cafeteria are:
Breakfast - $5.25 Lunch - $6.10 Supper - $7.15
Open House
All campus buildings and facilties will be open. We hope that students will take advantage of this opportunity to tour our campus. Tours of the residence halls are available by request through the Housing Office or the front desk of the individual halls.
Bookstore
The Eagle Pride Bookstore, located in the Student Center, will have books and assorted CSC memorabilia available for purchase.
Entertainment and Activities
There will be various activities and entertainment provided throughout the day. A schedule of these activities will be included in the packet you will receive the week of the contest.
Awards
Medals will be awarded to the top three places in each test. In case of a tie, more than one medal will be awarded for that place. (Therefore, in some cases, it is possible that no second or third place medals will be awarded.) Certificates of Merit will be awarded to those finishing in the top twenty percent of each test. Certificates of Participation will be presented to all contestants.
A plaque will be presented to the top school of each division. Medals, certificates, and plaques will be forwarded to schools the week following the contest.
Scholarships
Each senior who wins first place in a contest will be the recipient of a Scholastic Achievement Award. This award is a non-renewable, non-transferrable waiver of the in-state portion of tuition to Chadron State College for the Fall and Spring semesters of the 2010-2011 school year.
