Changes of Registration and Withdrawal

Any change of registration must be initiated by the student at the START Office or online. The effective date of the change is the date on which the completed forms are processed by the START Office or the action is recorded online.

• Adding or withdrawing from courses during the appropriate drop/add period: 

  A student may add or drop courses, without academic penalty; the first 14 days of any term.

• Withdrawing from classes:

  A student will receive a grade of W, which will not be computed into their GPA, if they withdraw from a course:

  • After the 100% refund period, but before the end of the 11th full week of a 16-week term
  • Through Wednesday of the 5th week, of an 8-week term
  • Through the midterm of other sessions

   

  A student may NOT withdraw from a course after these dates, but may withdraw from college.

• Withdrawing from the College:

  A student will receive a grade of W for each course, if they withdraw from the College:

  • After the 100% refund period but before the end of the 11th week of a 16-week term
  • Through Wednesday of the 5th week of an 8-week course
  • Through the midterm of other sessions

   

  A student will receive a grade of W for courses they are passing and a grade of F for courses they are failing, if they withdraw from the College:

  • After the 11th week of a 16-week term
  • After the Wednesday of the 5th week of an 8-week term
  • After the midterm of other sessions
