UNK wrestlers turn back CSC

KEARNEY, Neb. – The University of Nebraska-Kearney wrestling team cruised to a 38-6 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference dual victory over Chadron State Friday in Kearney.
The Lopers, ranked ninth in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association Poll, won eight total matches and earned bonus points in four of them as they improved to 11-6 overall and 2-0 in the RMAC.
Hagen Guzman and Brian Easterling got the only victories for CSC Friday night.
Guzman, a sophomore from Scottsbluff, claimed a 7-1 decision over Tyler Baker, while Easterling, a sophomore from Omaha, earned a hard-fought 8-7 decision over Jordan Gienger.
The Eagles (3-10, 0-7 RMAC) will conclude their regular season next weekend with two conference duals against Fort Hays State on Friday and New Mexico Highlands on Sunday.
Next Sunday’s regular season finale will be in the Nelson Physical Activity Center, beginning at 3 p.m.
