  • Financial Aid Student Self Service
  • Data Warehouse

What's Happening this Week?

Faculty and staff are being asked to encourage students to login in to the PeopleSoft portal by announcing this in classes and reminding them as they speak to students over the phone or in person. NUIDs and passwords were e-mailed to EagleMail accounts in early February. It is strongly suggested that students claim their account and familiarize themselves with the portal prior to pre-registration.

The staff of Student Services is planning Fall/Spring 2010 course registration events. Details will be announced as the schedule is available.

Faculty Trainers training will take place on March 2nd. The faculty services area of the new MyCSC portal is ready for faculty use and usernames and passwords will be distributed to faculty as soon as the trainers are ready to begin providing support. Faculty designated as trainers are Dawn Brammer, Mary Jo Carnot, Phil Cary, Molly Danner, Terri Haynes, Kim Huckfeldt, Rhea Jost, Deena Kennell, Joy Omelanuk, Aaron Prestwich, Wendy Waugh, and Ottley Wright.

Conversion efforts continue to focus on Transfer Credit and subsequent runs for bio/demo, enrollment history, and course schedules.

Calendar of Events (Go-Live Schedule)

Faculty and Students will be affected by a Student Information System Outage from 4:00MT July 30th through August 1st. During this time, access to the current and new student information systems to enter and view summer grades, enroll in courses, etc will be unavailable. The outage is necessary to convert financial balances from the current to the new student information system. More information will be provided as the conversion process proceeds.

A Go-Live schedule is provided by clicking on the MyCSC link on the CSC home page. The numerous services offered in PeopleSoft will be phased in according to the NeSIS project schedule. As services go-live, the Service name in the chart will be changed into a link. E-mail notices will also be issued to employees and to students. As the NeSIS project progresses additional services will be added to the chart.

Faculty and Staff Access to NeSIS

All faculty and staff will have access to PeopleSoft. Staff accounts will be issued as individuals are trained to work in the PeopleSoft environment. Faculty accounts will be issued in March just in conjunction with the go-live of the faculty portal and associated training sessions.

Because the NeSIS project involves 7 State of Nebraska college and university campuses sharing a common authentication system, a new unique ID is required for access to the PeopleSoft environment. The new ID is printed on CSC ID cards issued beginning with the fall 2009 term.

All faculty and staff should have a new CSC ID card issued as of the beginning of the fall 2009 term. If you are in need of a new ID card, please contact Janet Hartman in Crites Hall room 110.

Changes to Student Bio/Demo Data

From February 1st until late August, current and prospective on-campus students should contact the CSC Admissions Office for changes to their address, phone number, and marital status. Providing these changes to the college will ensure that contact information is consistent and updated. For a short time, CSC will be doing business in both the current and new student information systems so it is important that accurate data is in both databases. Students will once again be able to make these changes themselves when the current student information system is retired and the new system is fully live!
