If you have a passion for music but you do not want a career teaching in the public schools, then music business might just be for you! This program is designed to prepare students for a career in the music business in either the music products industry, print publishing, or the entertainment industry (publishing, songwriting, record label, music management, agent). In 2003, we added Piano Studio Operation "emphasis" within the Music Business major.
Chadron State College is one of the 27 schools in North America affiliated with the NAMM's Workforce Development Program. Each year, over 80,000 musicians attend the show to view the latest musical products from companies like Fender, Peavey, Yamaha, Slemer, Steinway, Tama, Hal Leonard, etc. Chadron State students get to attend the show and learn about employment opportunities in the music business.
