Golfers in eighth after first day of RMAC championship

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The Chadron State College women’s golf team is in eighth place after shooting a round of 391 during the opening day of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship at the Wigwam Golf Course Monday.

Western New Mexico owns the 18-hole lead with 325 but CSU-Pueblo, Regis and Colorado Mesa are less than 10 strokes away.

The tournament’s final round begins this morning with a shotgun start.

Emilee Pilkington led Chadron State with a round of 86, placing her 18th in the individual standings. She shot a 40 on the front nine and followed with a 46 on the back nine.

Also for Chadron State, Chelsea Murrell shot a 98, Ashley Kurtz carded 101, Nicole Tlustos had 106 and Kinlee Ginn finished with 106.

Dominique Dinallo of CSU-Pueblo leads all golfers with an 18-hole total of 75.
