Regis turns back Chadron State

DENVER – Lauren Flanagan had 13 kills and Jessica Wojcik added 12 to lead the No. 25 ranked Regis volleyball team to a 25-17, 25-12, 25-18 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over Chadron State Saturday.

Regis, now 20-7 overall and 11-5 in the RMAC, hit .345 as a team and never trailed in its three-set win.

Chadron State (5-23, 0-16 RMAC) posted a team hitting percentage of .118 in the loss. Mallory Irvine and Mollie Jones each led the Eagles with six kills apiece and Erika Roybal and Barbie DeCent each had five.

Jessica Jester paced the Eagles with four total blocks and Michaela Schmitt had 19 set assists.

Also for Chadron State, Kristina Harter finished with a team-high 12 digs and Alyssa Bauer served an ace.

The Eagles will close out their regular season next weekend in Chadron by hosting Colorado School of Mines and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
