CHADRON – The Chadron State College volleyball team is making its final trip of season this weekend when it squares off against top 25 teams Metro State and Regis University.
Both Metro State, ranked 10th in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll, and Regis, ranked 25th, are near the top of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference East Division and already own victories over the Eagles this season.
The Eagles (5-21 overall, 0-14 RMAC) will play at Metro State Friday at 7 p.m. before meeting Regis at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Metro State (19-4, 11-3) has won its last five matches, including a five set triumph over Colorado Mines.
Regis (19-6, 10-4) had been on a six-match winning streak but Mines rebounded from its loss to Metro to top the Rangers in five sets last weekend.
Following this weekend’s matches, Chadron State will play its final two regular season matches at home against Colorado Mines and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
