Eagles host Cougars Friday

CHADRON – Three of Chadron State’s final five matches this season will be played at the friendly confines of Armstrong Gymnasium, beginning with Friday’s conference tilt with Colorado Christian.

First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Chadron State will also Colorado Mines on Friday, Nov. 4 and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Saturday, Nov. 5 on the final weekend of the story.

Colorado Christian enters Friday’s match on a roll. The Cougars have won five of their last six matches and are 13-10 overall and 9-4 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

CCU’s balanced offense is hitting .202 for the season and it features five players over 100 kills. Ali Weber leads the team with 305 kills and setter Lauren Rosenthal, who was recently named the RMAC All-Academic Player of the Year, has 864 set assists.

Chadron State enters the match with a 5-20 overall and 0-13 in the conference. Five Eagles also have at least 100 kills, led by Mallory Irvine with 160.
