RAPID CITY, S.D. – Chadron State’s Emilee Pilkington shot a round of 40 to finish in first place after nine holes in a rain-shortened triangular hosted by South Dakota School of Mines at Meadowbrook Golf Course Thursday in Rapid City, S.D.
Black Hills State won the shortened invite with a round of 174. Chadron State was second with 180 and South Dakota Mines finished with 198.
In addition to Pilkington, three other CSC golfers finished in the top seven. Michelle Haynes tied for fourth with a round of 44 and Brittany Herrera and Ashley Kurtz each carded 48s.
Rounding out the scoring for Chadron State was Chelsea Murell’s round of 49.
Three other CSC golfers competed but their scores didn’t count toward the team total. Kinlee Ginn finished with 57, Kinsie Hanson had a round of 63 and Nicole Tlustos finished with 65.
