Eagle golfers claim title at Hardrocker invite; Malzahn takes first

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Sparked by individual champion Ally Malzahn, the Chadron State women’s golf team won the South Dakota School of Mines Hardrocker Invitational with a team score of 699 on Monday at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Rapid City, S.D.

After shooting a 350 on Sunday, the Eagles shot a 349 during Monday’s round to clinch the team title.

Malzahn, who also won an individual title at the Mesa State Invitational during the fall season, shot an 83 to finish with a two-day total of 165.

Caitlin Parker shot an 84 to finish with a score of 172, and Leslie Mueller fired a 90 to finish with 181.

Also for CSC on Monday, Alissa Peterson shot a 90 to finish with 183, and Sam Hanson shot an 88 to finish with 186.

The Eagles will finish their season Saturday and Sunday at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Golf Championship in Silver City, N.M.
