CHADRON – The Chadron State College theatre department is set to begin the school year’s performances with “Charley’s Aunt” by Brandon Thomas, Thursday Oct. 5 through Sunday Oct. 8 in Memorial Hall's Auditorium.
Evening performances of “Charley’s Aunt” begin at 7:30 p.m. with the Sunday finale beginning at 2 p.m.

“Charley’s Aunt” features Victorian-era Oxford students Charley Wykeham and Jack Chesney as they recruit their wealthy playboy friend, Lord Fancourt Babberly, to impersonate Charley’s Brazilian aunt, Donna Lucia, to chaperone a double date the pair have planned. Unbeknownst to the trio, Jack’s father happens to be after Donna Lucia’s fortune and the real Donna Lucia has come to town undercover to check up on her nephew.
Jack Chesney will be played by Nathan Wojciechowski of Gering, Neb., Brassett will be played by Casey Kukowski of Pine Bluffs, Wyo., Charley Wykeham will be portrayed Trajan Garcia of Alliance, Neb., and Samuel Thomas Martin of Hot Springs, S.D., as Lord Fancourt. Sir Francis will be played by Leo Haselhorst of Randolph, Neb., Amy Spettigue will be played by Courtney Smith of Hampton, Neb., Hannah Smith of Broken Bow, Neb., will portray Kitty Verdun, and John Cross of Norfolk, Va., will portray Spettigue. Donna Lucia will be played by Jennaya Hill of Gordon, Neb., and Ela Delahay will be played by Kaitlynn Hessler of Mitchell, Neb.
Production team students include Mickenzi Loyd of Big Piney, Wyo., and Alyssa Jensen of Whitewood, S.D. Brittney Peters and Taylor Thies, both of Rapid City, S.D., will serve as prop masters.
