CHADRON – The first of five Freshmen Signing Days takes place Friday, April 21. Other Freshmen Signing Days are planned for April 28, May 19, June 2 and June 30.
Signing Days serve as pre-orientation sessions for students starting at CSC this fall. Students meet with advisers to discuss their fall course schedule, attend sessions to familiarize them with the financial aspects of college, learn to navigate their MyCSC and EagleMail accounts and what it is like to live on-campus.
Parents attend sessions with helpful tips for preparing their students for the independent college lifestyle in and out of the classroom. Attending a Signing Day event ensures the student will arrive prepared for New Student Orientation in August and for their first semesters, according to Danielle Lecher, director of Market Development.
More information about Freshmen Signing Days, New Student Orientation and how to register is available online at csc.edu/signingday/freshman/index.csc.
Transfer students are required to attend one of the upcoming Transfer Signing Days scheduled for June 9, June 23, July 7 and July 21. Transfer students have the opportunity to meet with advisers, review transfer credits, course schedules and degree plans.
In addition, transfer students attend sessions explaining the processes for financial aid and billing at CSC and learn about the campus resources. Registration closes a week before each event and students are encouraged to apply and complete their individual Ready to Register forms as soon as possible to request a course schedule.
