CHADRON – More than 30 area third through eighth grade students will be participating in  Chadron State College’s Science Saturdays over the coming months.

The NASA Nebraska-funded program allows children to be involved in safe, hands-on experimentation and observation, according to Dr. Ann Buchmann, CSC faculty member and program coordinator. She said the sessions have been organized by 14 CSC elementary and secondary education majors.

Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., students will be guided through a wide variety of activities by CSC faculty members Mike Leite, Jen Balmat, Buchmann, Doug Poole, Beth Wentworth, Jeremy Weremeichik, John Buttiglieri and CSC pre-service teachers.

Sessions will be in the Math and Science building, Room 144. For more information, contact Buchmann at abuchmann@csc.edu.
