Chadron State College President Randy Rhine has named Lisa Stein as the interim director of admissions. She assumed her duties today, Feb 11. Tena Cook, the former director, recently accepted a position as interim coordinator of marketing.
Stein has been a member of the CSC Recruitment Team since 2005. In addition to assisting students and parents with questions about CSC, she has advanced skills utilizing the new student information system and tracking software used by Admissions. She has been a member of the Orientation Committee since its inception in 2007, a participant in the Foundation’s Annual Campaign since 2005 and a Don Beebe Annual Golf Tournament committee member since 2011.
Rhine said, “Ms. Stein brings a wealth of operational experience to this position and we are confident that the positive direction we are seeing for fall enrollment will continue under her leadership.”
In 2009, Stein began as supervisor of the Student Services Call Center. The Call Center employs student workers to help answer questions from callers and assist them with online self-service while allowing student service professionals to continue working on financial aid packaging, and other similar processes to benefit students.
Stein said, “I’m excited to serve Chadron State in this capacity. Chadron State has been a part of our family for a long time. We have a terrific staff in place, so this a great time to start.” In 2009, the Stein family received the Alumni Family Tree award in recognition of multiple generations of CSC graduates and their service to the college.
Stein is a Chadron High School graduate and Army veteran who spent 20 years living in Fresno, Calif. with her family where she worked for a staffing agency. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Organizational Management: Human Services degree. She has two adult daughters and her brother, Chris, is a member of the CSC football coaching staff.
