Country: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Favorite food: Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Favorite color: Black

Favorite place to travel: I would love to visit places in the Caribbean

The most interesting book you've read and why OR movie you have watched and why: Movie, Coach Carter. I've always liked basketball and this movie can be used as a disciplinary guide for many athletes who have all the skills but are in a lifestyle/situation that does not benefit them.

What do you like to do outside of class/study-time (weeknights or weekends)? I spend a lot of my time watching sports, if not I am just hanging out with friends.

Tell us about a positive experience you have had with a professor. It was my first semester in Chadron, I was not sure what I really wanted to study in college. The START office assigned a professor that's now teaching in the business department as my advisor. We took a few hours talking about where I came from and he was asking me questions to help him understand more about me. After the conversation, we both decided it might be good to take some Business classes along with some Essential Studies to see how I liked them. That was the best decision, and now I can tell he understood me very well! I am so grateful to be a Business major.

Clubs, groups, activities you participate/have participated in on campus: International Ambassador, International Peer Mentor and Chadron State Soccer club. I also work at the CSC Information Technology HelpDesk.

Favorite CSC class or class project: Entrepreneurial Imagination and Opportunity. It is a Marketing class that taught me so many life lessons and tricks for business in the real world.

Do you live on or off campus? I lived on-campus for my first year, but now I live off campus.

Favorite quote or saying: "The only person you are DESTINED to become is the person YOU DECIDE to be."

What excites you the most about being an International Ambassador? It is a great opportunity for me to develop many of my skills. I will have the chance to interact with people from different countries with different cultures and values. Being able to work with them right now will definitely make me a better person once I begin my career and work after college.

Do you have any passions or hobbies? Cooking, Soccer and Basketball.

Tell us a random fact about yourself. I just can't stay hungry. I love food :)

What do you plan to do after you complete your degree? I will consider gaining more experience through the OPT program and come back for my Graduate degree here at Chadron State College. I hope to work as a Graduate Assistant while completing my Graduate degree.
