Special Circumstance Request Form

Special Circumstances are circumstances that have impacted the family’s ability to pay for college and are not accurately reflected on the FAFSA. Some examples of Special Circumstances are:
  • Abandoned by parents
  • Unusually high medical expenses
  • Loss of employment or income
  • Received lump sum income – one time
  • Loss of parent
  • Parent’s divorce
Please write a detailed explanation of your special circumstances and submit for our review. Please note we must have your FAFSA results before we can review. AND, if your FAFSA was selected for verification, you must complete the verification requirements before your special circumstances can be reviewed.

Please be prepared to submit supporting documentation if asked. Our office will notify you in approximately 7-10 days following the submission of this form of any additional documentation needed or the results of our review.
