International Students

Financial Obligations

Admitted international students are required to pay for their first semester of attendance (tuition, fees, room and meals) at least 30 days in advance of their arrival at Chadron State College before their I-20 is issued.

As part of your admission, you certified that you have the minimum amount of U.S dollars available to cover 12 months of attendance at the non-resident tuition and fee rate at Chadron State College. Married students should be aware that their living expenses will be higher and may need an additional $2,100 or more for each child. This amount is in addition to travel expenses. These costs are subject to change and are likely to rise. Applicants should have additional funds available if needed. Detailed cost estimates are provided on a yearly basis. Applicant must be prepared to pay tuition and fees, as well as cost for living expenses, for the duration of stay at CSC. If students arrive at CSC without making required payments, CSC will notify the U.S Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services of failure to fulfill the requirements for a student visa.

  • Settling Costs: International students coming directly from their home countries should have with them no less than $800 (single student) or $1000 (married student with family) upon arrival to cover various settling costs. This may include possible motel and food costs prior to the dates the College room/food contracts begin.
  • Any additional costs not covered by the prepayment (including settling costs) are due at the time of enrollment.
  • A prompt refund will be mailed to students who do not attend as planned.
  • The following students are not required to make payment 30 days in advance of their arrival at CSC; however, full payment by the student is due at the time of enrollment unless other arrangements have been approved and made:
    • Students attending Chadron State College under an affiliation agreement with a sponsoring institution or agency.
    • Students whose cost of attendance is being paid under a third party agreement.
    • Graduate students who have been awarded CSC graduate assistantships.
