The regular academic year is divided into two sixteen week semesters and extends from late August to early May. The fall semester begins in late August, and the spring semester begins in early January. Undergraduates should plan to begin their studies during the fall semester.
Each semester is a complete unit of study requiring examinations and completion of course work. Grades are recorded on each student's permanent record at the end of each semester.
There are also four summer sessions: May, June, July, and August. The four sessions combined are equivalent to one semester of full-time work.
