Dear Jim,
Last year the Board of Trustees re-instituted the concept of Faculty College
for the three state colleges only.  Last May, Wayne State hosted it on their
campus, and this May 2008 Peru will be hosting it.  Our turn is May 2009.
Last year Wayne asked our most recent teaching awardee, Rob Stack, to serve on
the committee to plan the Faculty College.  This was not very effective given
his busy schedule, and he was totally alone.
Todd Drew at Peru has asked me who we want to help them plan from CSC.
I suggest that we form a small committee of faculty and that Faculty Senate
appoint that committee and oversee the input regarding the Faculty College at
Peru.  We will need a point of contact for Todd Drew, but the whole committee
would be involved in planning meetings.  Hopefully the result will be
increased input from our faculty and a gathering that meets their expectations
and needs.
Let me know what you think.  Could you put this on the agenda for the next
Faculty Senate meeting?
