Cardinal Key

Cardinal Key National Honor Society is a national organization for women students of at least Junior status in American colleges and universities who are leaders in the college and community and are deemed potential leaders in the future.

While Cardinal Key is an honor society, it is also a service organization. Membership carries a responsibility to attend mandatory meetings twice a month and provide services in a variety of activities for the campus and the community.

By-laws regarding the conduct of local chapters and requirements of membership are set by the national organization. Active membership is limited to 25 JUNIOR or SENIOR students who fulfill the following requirements:

Eligible candidates are invited to a gathering in February (the Spring Tea) to meet current Cardinal Key members, listen to an inspirational speaker, and learn more about the Cardinal Key National Honor Society. Dress is business casual as in nice pants or skirts.

All female students who believe they meet these requirements are invited to apply for membership. Applications are rated by an impartial numerical scoring system for the above requirements. Next CK members rank the applications by total points, and membership is awarded to the top candidates up to the limit of 25 total members.
