The Campus Activities Board provides programming activities for students that are coordinated by students. CAB promotes student involvement in planning and providing cultural, educational and social activities for the CSC student body. Meetings are every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. and all students are welcome to attend. Some examples of the entertainment brought to campus by CAB include hypnotists, magicians, comedians, dances, movies and novelty acts. There is no extra charge to the students for attendance to these activities. - Campus Historical Forum (CHF)

Campus Recreation and Intramurals offers an assortment of organized activities, which allow traditional and non-traditional college students, faculty, staff and alumni to experience a wide variety of individual, dual and team competition activities. The Chadron State College Cheer/Stunt Team directs and leads the student body in cheers at athletic events and pep rallies in order to promote school spirit, loyalty and pride at Chadron State College. The Cheer Team promotes leadership skills and team spirit. Cheer/Stunt tryouts are held in the spring. Cheerleaders and Stunters must be enrolled for not less than 24 semester hours each academic year and must maintain an overall grade point average of not less than 2.0. - Chess Club

There are five choirs available to students, all of which may be taken for one hour of college credit. The ensembles are open to majors, minors and non-majors.
Concert Choir: This ensemble performs works representing standard and contemporary literature for its regular concerts covering a variety of styles and musical genres. Auditions for this group take place the weekend before and the first day of classes.
Women’s Ensemble: This ensemble is open to all women. They perform regular concerts covering a variety of styles and musical genres. A brief audition for vocal placement will be held. Auditions for this group take place the weekend before and the first day of classes.
Men’s Ensemble: This ensemble is a select men’s group. Members must also belong to Concert Choir. They perform regular concerts covering a variety of styles and musical genres. It is open to all men who qualify by audition. Auditions for this group take place the weekend before and the first day of classes.
Vocal Jazz: This ensemble is a select mixed group. The group performs vocal jazz pieces accompanied by a small jazz combo. It is open to all students who qualify by audition. Auditions for this group take place the weekend before and the first day of classes.
Community Chorus: This ensemble is open to all students and community members without audition. This choir performs a wide array of literature and often combines with the Bordeaux Community Band for concerts. Choir members supply their own concert attire. - Council for Exceptional Children (CEC)

The purpose of this organization is to advance the education of individuals with exceptionalities. By sponsoring the Special Olympics team for the area, we provide students and athletes a unique and fun experience through weekly practices. The college newspaper, The Eagle, is a student publication edited by and for the students. It is published every week during the academic year except during vacations and exam weeks. The Eagle is distributed to students, faculty and staff as well as to interested readers off campus. All students are eligible to join the staff, and the paper’s letters to the editor section provides a forum for readers to express their opinions. The paper is funded by the college, student activity fees and advertising revenue. Staff members include News Journalism, Publication Projects, Editing and Design, and Photojournalism classes. The Student Senate is the representative organization of the student body of Chadron State College. It is the “voice” of the student and is to express student views and interests to improve student welfare and ensure the continued existence of students’ rights. The Student Senate is composed of representatives from each academic school, representatives elected at-large representing the entire student body, Junior Senators, the President and Vice President. Elections are held each semester and are open to qualified students. Petitions and guidelines are available prior to elections throughout the campus or at the Student Senate office located in the Student Center.
