Welcome to Biology
Chadron State College's Biology department provides a comprehensive, interdisciplinary education in the biological sciences. A Biology Major offers students opportunity, versatility and purpose. Chadron State College also hosts an informational health career day, Health Professions Day, for anyone interested in learning how to become a health care provider.
CSC Biology Students:
- Will be able to consistently apply logic and reasoning and critial thinking, not constrained by convention or prejudice.
- Will be fluent in the foundations of knowledge needed for tomorrow's scientists and teachers of science.
- Will have acquired, through knowledge and study, a sense of appreciation of our world.
- Will possess the skills of inquiry and study needed to understand the true nature of the universe.
Chadron State College is also one of eight undergraduate institutions in the state to offer the Nebraska Biomedical Research Excellence program, known as INBRE. The project is designed to enhance the competitiveness of biomedical research in Nebraska.
The Chadron State College Biology program also has a wonderful Herbarium with a large display of physical plants.
