Daily Routine

7:00 - 8:30
Welcome... Self-Discovery Experiences using the Plan, Do, Review Process
* 7:00 to 8:00 Brown Room/8:00 to 8:30 both rooms
* Art activity is available in the Brown Room/gross motor activity in the Blue Room
* Individual planning and Large group review

8:20 - 8:30
Clean up and Bathrooming
* stagger into bathroom

8:30 - 9:00
Breakfast
* stagger into bathroom

9:00 - 9:10
Clean up and Bathrooming
* stagger into larger group

9:15 - 10:10
Large group planning time followed by small group work time
Small Group Experiences -- divided developmentally appropriately by age three to four groups - (Plan, Do, Review process) - (stagger to outside)

10:10 - 11:15
Outside Experiences
* stagger children
* organized and unorganized/individual and group activities

11:15 - 11:20
Literacy/Language experiences - (divided developmentally by age/stage levels)

11:20 - 11:30
Clean Up and Bathrooming

Lunch - (staggered by groups - youngest eat first-seating charts)

Bathrooming and Brushing Teeth

Large Group Experiences - multi-age activities ranging from gross motor, music, movement to stories, singing and transition activities
* Kindergarten Experience -- 12:30 - 2:00 Brown/Observation Rooms

12:30 - 1:30
Nap preparation and rest time
* Quiet time for four/five year olds - 15 to 20 minutes

1:30 - 2:30
Outside experiences for all children as they complete nap time/rest experience

2:30 - 3:30
Snack time - Bathrooming and clean-up
* stagger as rest time ends

3:00 - 4:15
Large group time and planning for small group time
Small group experiences using Plan, Do, Review process
Developmentally appropriate experiences for multi-age levels-(3-4 groups)
Large group time - review

4:15 - 4:30
Literacy/Language Experiences - Review and Reflection - ‘Good-Byes’

4:30 - 5:30
Self-Discovery experiences inside or outside depending upon weather

 

Evening care may be arranged per semester - 5:30 - 10:00 p.m.

School-age Schedule (Schedule B days, school out days and before/after school)

A.M. Experiences
Older children will be provided special activities to accommodate and meet the developmental and age appropriate needs of the children enrolled

12:230 - 3:00
Circle time - outside experiences - library - PAC Center - as pre-arranged

3:00 - 5:30
Snack - planning time - story time - activity time - outside experiences - self-selected activities specifically planned for children ages 5+

** All times are flexible and may vary from day to day depending upon number of children, age level appropriateness, theme, topic and weather conditions. Schedule allows 3 hours between meals.

The Laboratory qualifies for the USDA Food Program allowing the center staff to provide a nutritious morning breakfast, noon lunch and afternoon snack for the children who attend the program.
