Admissions Ambassador - Cressey

Cressey Yeutter Name: Cressey Yeutter

Major: Sports and Recreation Management

Home Town: Eustis, Neb.

High School: Eustis-Farnam High School

What attracted you to your major? For my first couple years of college I was a Pre-Radiology major, but after being asked to be a student athletic trainer for the college I realized my desires were elsewhere. I was always very involved in sports in high school and now I enjoy playing intramurals at the college. I am also interested in the business area and combining the two is a great area for me.

What are you involved in on campus? I am an Admissions Ambassador and student athletic trainer for Chadron State. I’m also involved in the Health Professions Club, the Outdoor Adventures Club, and intramurals.

What is your favorite spot on campus? My favorite spot on campus would be the student center. It’s a fun place to hang out and kill time, and also see a lot of your friends. I also enjoy being in the Nelson Physical Activity Center. They always have fun intramurals going on throughout the year and it is also a great place to meet new people.

What is your favorite class and why? I have a couple of favorite classes and they are Nutrition and First Aid and Safety. I like learning about things that relate to day-to-day activity. The professors that taught these classes made the subjects interesting and wanted you to realize how important these matters are and will be in the future.

What do you do in your free time? In my free time I enjoy being with my friends, playing intramurals, going to the coffee shop downtown, going to movies and shopping! On the weekends, I like attending the football games and other athletic events for that particular season, or making a trip up to Rapid City with my friends to go shopping.

Why did you choose Chadron State College? Being a transfer from the University of Wyoming was a change, but the faculty and students here at Chadron State made it a smooth and welcoming transition for me. Chadron State has a lot to offer from being involved in many clubs that relate to your major to the staff. Being in smaller classes and having the professors getting to know you is something that I really like about CSC. Chadron State was a great transition for me and it’s a decision I’ll never regret!
